  A three-member inquiry committee, appointed by the Supreme Court, commenced its investigation into Delhi High Court Judge Justice Yashwant Varma’s conduct, visiting his home on Tuesday afternoon. Justice Varma is facing scrutiny after bundles of burnt currency were allegedly found at his residence during a fire. The inquiry panel includes Chief Justice Sheel Nagu of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chief Justice G.S. Sandhawalia of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, and Justice Anu Sivaraman of the Karnataka High Court. The committee spent approximately 45 minutes at Justice Varma’s residence. AAP MLA Evicted from Gujarat Assembly Over Sticker Protesting Land Survey

  In a dramatic turn of events, AAP MLA Hemant Ahir from Jamjodhpur constituency in Jamnagar district was evicted from the Gujarat Assembly on Tuesday after he refused to remove a protest sticker from his t-shirt. The sticker, which read “Khoti Jamin Mapni Radd Karo” (Cancel Faulty Land Mapping) in Gujarati, was a direct criticism of the state's land survey system. Ahir entered the Assembly during the Question Hour, wearing the t-shirt with the visible protest sticker. Speaker Shankar Chaudhary immediately took notice and pointed out that such displays of protest are against the rules of the Gujarat Assembly. When Ahir was asked to either remove the sticker or leave the House, he argued that he was only trying to draw attention to the issues affecting farmers, particularly the faulty land mapping.
